Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) was established in 1976 with the objective of providing competent, reliable and cost-effective human resource from Pakistan for the international labour market. The mandate of the organization also includes facilitating overseas employers in selecting human resource from the country and ensuring exploitation free environment for citizens of Pakistan looking for employment opportunities abroad.
Despite the challenges of the international labour market and some of the local impediments, OEC has facilitated more than 142,000 professionals, skilled as well as unskilled workers in securing employment in important places including Europe, United Kingdom Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, South Korea and Malaysia. The Corporation also conducts screening tests, language courses in addition to travel arrangement for the selected candidates.
We remain committed to the task of exploring maximum opportunities for the placement of manpower from Pakistan in suitable international labour markets. With a burgeoning population and constraints of local employment, the role of OEC is considered extremely important. OEC strives to serve not only our citizens and their families but also contributes towards economic stability of Pakistan through substantial foreign remittances.
